This episode is co-hosted by Sahtu Délı̨nę First Nations artist and printmaker Laura Grier who joins our co-producer, Dene activist, artist, and comedian, Nigel Robinson, on a medicine swamp walk in Cold Lake First Nation. Along the way, they meet Auntie Tiffany Janvier, who shares her inspiring journey rooted in ceremony, family, and the revitalization of Dene language. Their conversation trails out to downtown amiskwacîwâskahikan to speak with Edmonton-based artist Christina Battle and Cree/Irish/Scottish artist and curator Becca Taylor. Together, they discuss the transformative power of community gardens in urban environments, and how these spaces create cultural and community health, revitalization, and resilience.
